At the turn of the twentieth century, no well-dressed lady would be seen without a hat. American women wore hats even when taking the dog for a walk.

		Frank Olive natural straw with big floppy brim. Brim has four white thin bows, bows are inset in hat, small white band around crown with tiny flat bow. Item Code bp1-001 $130.00
		Black straw with 4-1/2" brim, black ribbon around crown hanging down in a very different decorative fashion. Ribbon around crown is 2" wide. Tag inside reads El Don, Cleveland and New York. Good condition. Item Code bp1-002 $60.00
		Bonnet, very old wedding bonnet, white cotton batiste, shows minor wear. It has two sets of ties for under the chin, one inside, one outside. There are two rows of ruffles around face and one ruffle with lace where crown is sewn onto brim. Item Code bp1-003 $275.00
		Straw hat with five huge red poppies, three buds, trimmed in green velvet ribbon.  Labeled Trebor Original, New York and along the inside of the hat band it has tiny red feather sewn into it at the front. This one is from my hat collection, similar one is in "Hats with values" by Desire Smith.  Size almost 21, condition good for the age. 		Frank Olive red felt hat with crown that turns up all the way around. It has at least a dozen sewn seams on material going around the brim. Brim can be turned down in front, back or on each side or both. Tag reads from my private collection. Size inside crown is 22". Excellent condition. Item Code bp1-005 $100.00

		Big brim red straw hat with white flowers that appear to be gardenias to me, small crown, tag reads Germaine Montabert, H. P. Wasson & Co., Indianapolis. Good condition. Item Code bp1-006 $50.00
		Small black straw hat with chignon holder, with pink flowers and veil across the front. Veil does not hang on face, only covers flowers and is tied into a bow with pieces of veil that hangs down over hair. Veil is covered with pink fuzzy dots the color of the pink flowers on front of hat. Very good condition. Item Code bp1-007 $50.00
		Black clip-on small hat covered in bugle beads and sequins, beads in front dangle on forehead, has small black velvet bow on back. Item Code bp1-008 $40.00
		Grey/blue hat, late 30's-40's one of first purchases for my hat collection.  Good condition except flowers a little wilted.  Veil can be worn away from face around flowers and the small brim.  Tag inside reads Styled by Bena'ar.  Item Code bp1-009 $235.00
